So you can build a lasting relationship with (and feel deeply attracted to) a man who chooses you every single day.
This is the pattern. Not bad luck. Not bad timing. A pattern.
If you keep dating men who are completely incapable of giving you exactly what you want, and you would like to meet a stable, consistent guy who actually gives you butterflies, makes you feel special, and chooses you every day, then you are in the right place.
Because you are about to discover the childhood pattern that was imprinted onto you, which has been picking all the wrong men for you, your entire life.
Have you noticed you keep dating the same "kind" of guy, over and over? New man, same problems? That is an imprint archetype. You are going to discover yours in the next 2 minutes.
On this page you are going to experience a manifestation exercise to fix this, and have your unconscious mind laser focus on finding "the one".
My name is Matt Forte. I am the creator of a framework that changes unconscious childhood patterns.
It is called Imprint Work.
It took me from emotionally avoidant (the self-reliant archetype) to fully available to give and receive emotional intimacy (the regulated archetype).
And you are going to discover how to fix your relationship archetype right here.
More on that in 2 minutes. Keep reading.
Like Kristina and Jessica, who met incredible men within a week of their first imprint work session. When you change your imprint, your selective focus changes with it.

And now it is your turn to finally get the love you deserve, the way you want it. Without second guessing yourself. Without compromising. Without settling.
I figured this out not to help other people. At first I did it to help myself. This was a selfish desire.
Because nearly 18 years ago I heard a TED talk. An official one, from a Stanford professor, back when TED talks were at their prime. And the speaker said that we are basically doomed to repeat the relationship patterns we witnessed growing up from our parents or caretakers.
That scared the shit out of me, because my parents had a horrible, toxic, emotionally abusive relationship.
What kind of relationship did your parents have? Was it healthy? Hint: you imprinted that dynamic. And I am going to show you how to fix it.
I did not know it at the time. Only years later, after a lot of therapy and coaching, did I realize that before doing Imprint Work on myself I had a deep fear of intimacy.
I avoided any kind of deep emotional connection at all costs.
Why?
Because my parents taught me, through their actions, that emotional intimacy was dangerous. They would invalidate me, try to control me, and manipulate me.
And subconsciously I learned this: if it is not safe to be emotionally vulnerable with my own parents, how would it ever be possible to be vulnerable with anyone outside my family?
Only years later did I realize my family dynamic was just really messed up. After 15 years of trying to have a healthy relationship with both of my parents, I have officially cut them out of my life. Difficult, yes. But for my peace of mind, necessary.
I was the classic Self-Reliant archetype, which you are going to learn about in a second. There are 9 classic archetypes based on how you grew up, and you are going to discover yours.
I fixed my imprint 12 years ago, at 25. Since then I have been loved the way I need to be loved, instead of the emotionally unavailable, abusive version of "love" my parents taught me.
This did not happen through therapy. This happened through Imprint Work.
Did you know that over 50% of the population has a "secure" attachment style, and was raised by half decent parents with good morals and values?
Attachment style distribution in the adult population
So why do you only keep attracting the other 50%, the avoidant and anxiously attached ones?
I will tell you. It comes down to 2 psychological reasons, and you are going to change both of them today.
It is not because the good men are taken. They are not. They are actively looking for great women who are a catch.
You could have walked past 10 of these men today, and your subconscious mind would never have recognized a single one of them.
You already know why you do it. That is exactly the problem.
Whatever you are, you attract.
You have probably heard that before. And you probably understand your childhood, and the reasons you are the way you are.
You have gone over this with your therapist. You can logically explain everything about yourself.
But understanding does not change deep programming. It does not change your imprinting.
What your therapist never told you is that your childhood pattern was ingrained into the two most primitive parts of your brain.
You have three brains. Your imprint only lives in two of them.
Two of these hold your pattern. The third one does not.
It controls basic survival functions: breathing, heart rate, and primal instincts. Fight, flight, reproduce.
It does not think. It only asks one question, over and over: am I safe here?
This is the limbic system. It manages emotions, social bonds, and the fight-or-flight response. You cannot reprogram deeply ingrained patterns at this level with logic.
A good example is a fear of spiders. Assuming you live in North America, almost every spider in your home is harmless and actually useful. They eat mosquitoes.
So why do harmless little spiders still trigger a full fight-or-flight response in so many people?
Because it is not a logical thing. You have to re-wire the emotion behind the fear.
That is exactly what Imprint Work does. Emotional reconditioning at the imprint level, which is where every childhood pattern lives.
Those are the two. That is the whole address. Everything you keep repeating in your dating life is stored down there.
So here is the question that should bother you.
Why has everything you have already tried been aimed at a completely different brain?
This is the neocortex. Logic, language, planning, abstract thought.
This is where therapy lives. This is where every book, podcast, and 3am deep dive lives.
You can understand your problems in perfect detail and talk therapy still will not change how you feel, or what was programmed into you at a young age.
The thinking brain cannot fix what was imprinted before the age of 25, which is when all of your core imprinting happens.
Which is exactly why you can explain your pattern perfectly and still repeat it next month.
The insight landed in the one brain that was never holding the pattern. You have been sending letters to the wrong address for years.
The detailed version: which structures hold the imprint, and how the loop keeps reinforcing itself.
The first reason comes from a psychological concept called imprinting. This is the single most important idea on this page.
Imprinting was popularized by a Nobel Prize winner named Konrad Lorenz in 1935.
He had a farm. One day, by chance, he witnessed baby geese hatching from their eggs. As they hatched, those goslings saw Konrad first. He was the very first creature their eyes ever witnessed.
Konrad Lorenz, followed by geese who believed he was their mother
Those goslings then followed him for years. They followed him, not their actual mother. They barely paid attention to her at all.
So he repeated the process. And yes: if he imprinted on the goslings as they hatched, they believed he was their mother. Some of those geese later tried to mate with humans.
Today, imprinting is common knowledge among duck and geese farmers.
So what do baby geese and an old scientist have to do with you picking all the wrong men?
Just like geese, humans have imprinting stages. And whatever environment you imprint on wires you for life, unless you learn the tools to change it.
Imprinting is a biological and sociological survival mechanism. It exists to help you adapt, survive, and thrive in the environment you are raised in.
The problem is that whatever you imprinted on does not have to be healthy, or good for you.
Imprinting is why you date men who remind you of your parents. We subconsciously look for what feels familiar.
And those men you keep dating? They feel right at first, because their pattern matches the family environment you were raised in.
A study in 1999 proved that we tend to only see what we are already focused on. They call it selective focus.
Once you understand it, you will get why you could have walked right past your dream man and never recognized him.
Your imprint primed your selective focus to look for one specific kind of man: the archetype you grew up inside.
In the study, viewers were asked to focus on the players wearing white shirts and count how many times they passed the basketball.
The count is 15 passes
Afterwards they ask: how many passes did you count? Then they tell you the answer. Fifteen.
But did you notice the gorilla that walks through the middle of the video and does a little dance?
Most people never see it
When my grade 10 class saw this video in the early 2000s, 99% of the room missed the gorilla completely. Our minds were blown.
The point is this: when your selective focus is running, your mind will miss things in your environment entirely.
And your soulmate, the man who is a perfect fit for you, is exactly like that gorilla. He could walk right in front of you, do a little dance, and you would never notice.
After working with hundreds of clients on their childhood imprints, I have identified 9 core archetypes.
Typically you have a primary and a secondary, because we grow up with a mother and a father who each carry their own dualities.
Skim these. You will recognize yourself in one or two of them.
Learned that needing people is dangerous, so she became low-maintenance and hard to reach.
The boss babe who "does not need a man" and has never let a friend see her cry.Busy, emotionally offshore, "not ready."
The workaholic whose job is both his personality and his alibi.Learned that love was a grade, so she became the impressive one who never lets herself be caught wrong.
The 47-point checklist dater who ends things over how he chews. The evaluator. Approval always just out of reach.
The guy with impossible standards for everyone but himself.Attention was intermittent growing up, so she became a hyper-attuned audience reader.
The one screenshotting his texts for group chat forensics and checking "last seen" like a stock ticker.Big spotlight attention, on his schedule.
The fuckboy in premium packaging. "Thinking about you" at 11pm, silence for six days.Love meant being needed, so she became the strong one who fixes everyone but herself.
The one paying his phone bill "just this once" while her friends call her boyfriends "her patients."Potential instead of a partner.
The musician between gigs, entrepreneur between ideas, currently living at hers.Love and adrenaline got wired together, so calm now feels unsettling.
The one with a "crazy story" for every ex and "no spark" for anyone stable.Hot, cold, passionate fights, movie-style reunions.
The guy who love bombs Monday, ghosts by Friday, and returns Sunday with a paragraph.Learned her own judgment was not trustworthy, so she outsourced her compass to other people.
The serial monogamist with zero gap years who is saying "we" within three weeks.Arrives with a plan for her life.
The guy who arrives with the plan, the opinions, and eventually her friends too.Love and harm came from the same hands, so her alarm system and her attachment system fused together.
If closeness has always arrived alongside fear, your body learned to read the two as one thing. That is not a flaw in your judgment. It is what you were taught, and it can be untaught.Recreates the original damage in cycles.
The man who is emotionally, verbally, or physically harmful, in a rhythm that feels recognizable.Grew up forecasting one person's moods, so she became a human barometer.
The one who knows his mood from the sound of his keys in the door. The temper the whole day orbits around.
The door slammer and silent treatment artist whose mood arrives before he does.Love was unconditional. The parents were there to validate the child and help regulate their emotions.
He sees his partner for who she is, hears her, validates her, and takes accountability for his behaviour.
Found yourself yet? Keep going. Naming it is not the same as changing it.
Now that you understand your imprint, and how your selective focus has been picking all the wrong men for you, it is time to have your mind pick the right one.
A man who gives you butterflies. Who you have real chemistry with. Where you feel the spark. And who also gives you consistency, honesty, and wants to build a life with you.
Because when you change your relationship imprint, you change what you look for.
Have you noticed that after buying something you really wanted, you suddenly start seeing it everywhere? That is the blue car effect.
Once you change your imprint, you get goggles that reveal your man, so you can actually see him and choose him.
Imprint Work is a 3 step manifestation process.
Remember how you cannot logically think your way out of a pattern that was imprinted when you were young?
Every step of Imprint Work operates at the emotional and primitive level of your brain. We combine NLP and hypnotic exercises to trigger your imprints and your emotions, and anchor them together.
This is not a woo-woo manifestation exercise. It is rooted in neuroscience.
It starts with figuring out what you actually want, and creating what I call a Sacred State.
This state emerges by digging deep into your values and your past experiences of love, joy, and connection. It is unique to you, because of your own neurology and how you are wired.
Through NLP tools, the Sacred State gets amplified until your whole body and nervous system is flooded with a deep sense of beauty, appreciation, connection, and self love.
This alone is a feeling most people have never experienced. It often brings people to tears. And this is only step 1.
Now that we have a powerful frame of reference, we anchor and re-associate the Sacred State with your imprint.
There is a concept in neuroplasticity from the book The Brain That Changes Itself: neurons that fire together, wire together. That is exactly what we do. We fire your Sacred State, and we wire it to your imprint.
Through guided meditation you re-live your past with the Sacred State anchored. You re-experience your childhood, your first crushes, and your teenage years through a lens of deep love, safety, and connection. The way it was supposed to be experienced.
This overrides the old emotions attached to your memories of love, dating, sex, and romance, and creates a new updated imprint. An imprint built around love and connection, which is what your brain will search for from then on.
The final step is future pacing the Sacred State into your future.
In life you do not only attract what you were primed for in your past. You also attract what you expect. So while the Sacred State is hot and fired up, we future pace love and connection into what is coming.
This is why people who do this work meet their next love of their life within a week or less.
Matt Forte, Montreal
Hi, I am Matt Forte.
Remember that TED talk I mentioned near the start? Here is the line that shook me to my core, word for word:
That one statement sent me down an 18 year journey to figure out how to change myself, and have the best possible relationship on earth.
Today, 18 years later
I can happily say that since the age of 25 I have only had beautiful, loving relationships.
And today, at 37, I am with my forever person. It has not been only sunshine and rainbows. We have navigated through a ton of shit, and we still have an amazing relationship.
I am telling you all of this not to brag, but so you know that I have not only done the work. I am living it. And I can help you get through this next stage too.
You do not need to have lived with a partner to know how much a partner affects your emotional wellbeing.
Now imagine living with someone, committing to another human for the rest of your life, who is going to:
That option ends one of two ways. An early death, or a divorce.
You do not have to give up on dating, and you do not have to settle for a lifetime of dysregulation with a partner.
There is a third option. Imagine being with a man who:
To meet that man, you need to become regulated yourself.
The third option is to change what you are, so you can attract what you want.
You go from a dysfunctional imprint dynamic to being with a man who sees you, hears you, feels you, and values you. You stop chasing power dynamics and start craving genuine connection.
This is the kind of relationship that can actually last forever. And it starts with you changing your relationship imprint.
If you are ready to meet the man you are going to marry, the man who makes you feel like you are home whenever you are in his arms, then here is how I am going to personally get you there.
This is a 12-week journey where we fix your imprints and your nervous system, so you can:
Not because you got lucky, but because your picker is finally pointed at him.
So he does not become one more almost-relationship in a long list of almost-relationships.
Because two people regulating each other for the next 40 years takes more than chemistry. It takes a nervous system that knows how.
It is a 12-week program. Every 2 weeks, you and I sit down 1-on-1 and go to work. Resetting your imprint, calming your nervous system, one layer at a time.
If you actively go on dates while we work together, you will meet the best man of your life so far within the first 30 days. Most women meet an amazing man within 2 weeks or less.
Every month I have room for 5 to 10 new clients. As of writing this, there are only 5 spaces left in my calendar for September 2026. If you are reading this, one of them is still available to you.
If you want to rewire your imprint archetype, stop attracting situationships that give you anxiety, and get into the healthiest relationship of your life in the next 30 days, then click the button below.
It will ask you 5 questions, and open my calendar so you can book a 20 minute call with me to see whether this is a fit.
Fill out the form and pick a time to talk with me.
Looking forward to getting to know you.
Your new friend,
P.S. What happens on the 20 minute call? We go over your dating history, pinpoint your exact relationship archetype, and I walk you through an exercise so we can both see whether it makes sense to work together.
P.P.S. My guarantee: if you actively go on dates while we work together, you will meet the best man of your life so far in the first 30 days or less. Most women meet an amazing man within 2 weeks.
